You've Never Seen the "Oliver Twist" Done Like This Before...lol

Have you heard that D'banj is having a contest on Youtube??? Well he is!! Basically, you submit a video dancing to his new song "Oliver Twist," while making it as entertaining as possible. The top 10 selected are then going to be featured in the official video for the song."

So as you can imagine, there have already been hundreds of videos uploaded, and I have to admit, some of them are hilarious!! There is one in particular though that I had to share with ya'll!! I actually had to watch it twice to see if I really saw what I saw....and it was only the second time that I actually realised it. I'm not gonna say anymore, except just watch the girl in the pink sarong closely...

CAUTION: 1. There is alot of booty shakin in this video, so if you have a problem with that, don't watch...lol. But I'm telling you, this video is a must see!! You'll literally have to pick your jaw off the ground...lol

"The Unwrapped Gift"

I came across this short Ghanaian movie on www.lifestylzgh.com and it really struck me. It dealt with one of those topics that you know could happen to anyone, and as result, I really felt for the character.
The movie was not like your usual Ghanaian movie though... there wasn't an over dramatisation of scenes, the actors/actresses weren't yelling and there wasn't any annoying music in the background....lol. The movie had direction and focus and an element of suspense to it, which I felt was really well done for an 18 minute film.
I feel it was so much better than some of Ghanaian movies I've seen, (well that's my opinion anyway).

Weight loss update #5

Its been a little over 7 weeks since I started my exercise/weight loss regimen, and I've finally lost another kilo!!! So, I've now shed 5 kgs!!!! (About time!! lol).
Let me tell you though, it can get really frustrating when those kilos don't drop off, (which I've been experiencing for the last 2 weeks). But like my mom said, you can't give up. Just keep at it and it'll pay off eventually :-)

Introducing Evony!!

Hey all,
I purchased this half wig last month, when I bought my Sensationnel Lace Front Wig. This one is ''Evony'' by Outre, and its a beautiful curly unit. I love that the hair is untamed and carefree, yet still looks sexy. Its a very fun wig to wear. Anyway here are some pictures of me wearing it. Words of encouragement...

Trials have presented themselves over the last few weeks and I've been earnestly praying, holding onto and claiming the promises that God has offered all of us.

Today I came across this really encouraging article by singing duo Mary Mary, on essence.com.
The words in this article spoke to me this morning and encouraged me to keep pushing forward with faith, that with God ALL things are possible. Here is a small excerpt...

Is life throwing or burying you with "dirt"? Gain the right perspective. Don't despise the dirt; fertilize it with complete surrender and reliance on God. Lean on Him for peace in the midst of whatever you are facing. Focus on the garden that God is nurturing as you struggle and remember we all need a little "dirt" to grow!

When life deals you a difficult situation, ask God to use it to help you grow, then be patient, as He makes something beautiful from your "dirt."

Winter buys...

I picked up this jacket that I had on layby from Sunnygirl last week. It's such a beautiful, warm winter coat, and I love the cream colour!!!. I also stumbled across these suede, lace up, platform, wedge, ankle booties (that was a mouthful!!!) lol. They were on sale at Betts and they are just too sweet (and soo comfortable). I just couldn't resist :-)

Nothing like a great stiletto!!

I just haven't been able to help myself... Novo has been too good to me lately!! I picked up these sexy black studded stilettos on sale for $40.00!! The heel is 6 inches (yea, I know...gangsta-ly high), but the platform helps balance it out and gives it some level of comfort. But I obviously didn't purchase these for comfort...lol.
Anyway check em out!!

Weight loss update...

4 weeks since I started and I've lost 4 kgs!!! Very happy with my progress :-) 

Weight loss update...

Its been a little over 3 weeks since I committed to my healthier eating, portion control and exercise regimen, and I've finally lost 3.5kg!!!! YAY!! !!

I was stuck on 2.5kg (lost) for what felt like the longest time!! Meanwhile, I was doing all the right things! I personally felt good and I could see the positive changes in my body, but the number on the scale would not budge, and to be honest, i was starting to get a little discouraged... :-(

But, I've persisted with making good choices daily and its paying off, slowly but surely :-) So, i'm not done yet! I'm gonna keep at it, and not get so caught up on the numbers, cause I know if I treat my body right, it show eventually!!

Steady progress for long term results :-)
