My 29th Birthday|| Ghana 2012/13

Some really memorable things happened on my last trip to Ghana, one of which was my 29th birthday! This year, my fiance (yes he proposed while I was there!!), took me out to dinner at the African Regent Hotel. We had a lovely, romantic evening and the food was splendid!
For my outfit, I wore this cute skater dress with the cut-out details on the side and studded shoulders from Oz Jeans, with some simple black heels and my ankara purse (which I bought while there).

We finished off the evening with me playing the keys in the lobby of African Regent and it truly was an AMAZING way to end the night!

...And the ring was beautiful...

Girl Talk ETV|| Ghana 2012/13

On this last trip, some great opportunites came my way thanks to some amazing people!! I was featured on a TV show called Girl Talk on ETV, where I did a makeover (on camera) for the host/presenter to launch their new season!! I shot 3 episodes while in Ghana, and it was an amazing experience!! Through it, I was also given my own segment on the show called 'Style Up with Love' where I talk beauty, makeup, hair, and fashion. This opportunity has given me exposure and has allowed people to know a little bit more about what I do and am passionate about. And I believe it will lead to bigger and better things by Gods grace :-)

Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the 'after' when I did the makeover... :-( but here is a picture I took before we started shooting episode 3, after the hosts hair and makeup :-)

Before and After
You can catch me on Girl Talk on Tuesday nights @9pm on and the repeat show on Fridays @1:30pm on ETV!!

Vacation Style|| Ghana 2012/13

My vacation style involved alot of color... loose, flowy dresses and maxi's, because the heat in Ghana is no joke!! So here are just some of the looks I rocked :-)

The first outfit was all about color!!! I wore it when we were shooting the first episode of Girl Talk. It features this bright fuschia peplum skirt that I purchased from Little JC, and I paired it with a black tank top, and my multi-colored geometric necklace (from ebay) which I love!!! And for the shoes, I rocked my chunky heeled 'kaleidoscope inspired' pair from Betts.

The second look I wore on one of our Sunday afternoon chilling sessions at Labadi beach. I absolutely adore this mint green dress that I purchased from Oz Jeans. The fabric of the dress is so soft and feels so nice against the skin. I love the crochet detail at the top of the dress, and also that the dress is very flowy.

The third look was a very basic one, which I wore to run errands in town. The polka dot maxi skirt was an awesome bargain from K-mart, and it has a very high split detail which makes it a little more interesting.

The final look, I wore to a BBQ on New Years Day. What I love about this maxi dress is that its not only comfortable, but has a touch of sexiness to it, with the 'peek-a-boo' detail in the middle of the bodice. I also love the sweetheart neckline, (which is one of my favourite necklines), and the sequin detailing!
