Ankara Peplum Skirt & Crop Top

Hey beautiful people!
So my outfit in this post is this fabulous high waisted ankara skirt which I paired up with a white crop top from ASOS. My skirt was custom made by my seamstress in Ghana and I have to say I absolutely love the fit of it! It fits like a glove, and hugs my curves perfectly! I also love the print of the skirt,  and the purple against the mustard yellow, which makes for a striking combination! Kept my accessories very minimal, and opted for an oversized mustard yellow clutch, also from ASOS. For my shoes, I decided to go wear my Tony Bianco gold capped stilettos. Still rocking my Marley braids, but I think its time for a change :-)

So this is my first outfit post of 2014!! And I had to kick it off with my favourite ankara print...Nsubro.
This print here just gets me so excited!! Everytime I see it, I have to stop and appreciate! It comes in a range of colors, and eventually, I will get outfits made in every color!

Ghana Bound!!

Hey ya'll!!!
I hope this post finds you well :-) I was supposed to update the blog with this outfit a few days ago before I left for Ghana, but as you can imagine last minute preparations for my trip got in the way, so I'm currently writing this post in Ghana!! The trip was long an tiresome with almost 24 hours in the air, delays, having to rush from one gate to another, but I was able to experience the comforts of the new Emirates Airbus A380 (the double decker plane), which was pretty cool!! After all that though, I'm so excited to in Ghana and be back with my fiance!! Since I arrived, I've just been spending quality time with the him and we are just enjoying being in each others company again!! I have a few things lined up this trip, which I will be sure to update you all on when I get back.
So anyway, onto the outfit... This is what I wore while travelling. I kept the look very simple, with all black, gold accessories and this fabulous floral blazer, (which was a steal from KMart for $15)!!!
I finally wore my Go Jane wedges, because I wanted to travel in style, yet still be comfy.
I also took my cobalt blue loafers from Rosewhole Sale, incase I wanted to change into flats, but I surprised myself and wore the wedges through out the whole journey!
