All Black Everything

Hey beautiful people!
So as you can see in this outfit post, I went back to basic black! As I've said so many times, when all else fails, and I don't know what to wear an all black ensemble never disappoints!
With this look here, I paired a black crop top with some black pants, some black lace up heels and my new favourite fedora that I got for my birthday. For my bag, I rocked my Zara inspired shopper bag and for my neckpiece, I added a pop of color with an emerald green necklace with rhinestone details.
I loved the simplicity of this look!

Ankara Peplum Skirt & Crop Top

Hey beautiful people!
So my outfit in this post is this fabulous high waisted ankara skirt which I paired up with a white crop top from ASOS. My skirt was custom made by my seamstress in Ghana and I have to say I absolutely love the fit of it! It fits like a glove, and hugs my curves perfectly! I also love the print of the skirt,  and the purple against the mustard yellow, which makes for a striking combination! Kept my accessories very minimal, and opted for an oversized mustard yellow clutch, also from ASOS. For my shoes, I decided to go wear my Tony Bianco gold capped stilettos. Still rocking my Marley braids, but I think its time for a change :-)

Ghana Trip 2013/14: My 30th Birthday

I celebrated my 30th birthday while I was in Ghana, and it was such a blast!!!
For my birthday outfit, I decided to wear shorts, which I hardly do, but since you only turn 30 once, I decided to be adventurous!! The whole look came together really nicely, and to date, I think this is one of my favourites, just because its so different from what I usually wear...
What do you think?

Check out my get ready with me video on my Youtube channel, and also see some more pictures from that night!

Ghana Bound!!

Hey ya'll!!!
I hope this post finds you well :-) I was supposed to update the blog with this outfit a few days ago before I left for Ghana, but as you can imagine last minute preparations for my trip got in the way, so I'm currently writing this post in Ghana!! The trip was long an tiresome with almost 24 hours in the air, delays, having to rush from one gate to another, but I was able to experience the comforts of the new Emirates Airbus A380 (the double decker plane), which was pretty cool!! After all that though, I'm so excited to in Ghana and be back with my fiance!! Since I arrived, I've just been spending quality time with the him and we are just enjoying being in each others company again!! I have a few things lined up this trip, which I will be sure to update you all on when I get back.
So anyway, onto the outfit... This is what I wore while travelling. I kept the look very simple, with all black, gold accessories and this fabulous floral blazer, (which was a steal from KMart for $15)!!!
I finally wore my Go Jane wedges, because I wanted to travel in style, yet still be comfy.
I also took my cobalt blue loafers from Rosewhole Sale, incase I wanted to change into flats, but I surprised myself and wore the wedges through out the whole journey!
