August Lookbook

Hey lovelies! Hope you're all doing well!
I know its been a minute since I last posted on here, and that's honestly due to the fact that I haven't felt like blogging... I think because I interact alot more with my subscribers and followers on Youtube, Facebook and Instagram, sometimes posting here on my blog doesn't get me excited... But I don't want to abandon blogging completely, because I know it reaches a different audience,  and some of you look forward to it. So I've decided to post my outfit looks on a monthly basis, after I upload the lookbook on my youtube channel. This way, its one post with a variety of looks to scroll through. Hope that is ok with ya'll :-)
And just a shameless plug... If you aren't already following me on my other social media pages, please make sure to do so! Cause I post alot more and have so much fun reading the feedback, receiving the inbox messages, responding to the comments and interacting with all of you! (All links are on the home page)

So anyway onto the looks I wore this month...Lets begin with "The Trench Coat..."
I put this look together on a day I had no clue what i wanted to wear. The weather was a little cooler, so I opted to wear this nude/neutral colored trench coat which I've had for years! I kept the look very simple by contrasting it with black, and added my new chunky chain necklace that my bff surprised me with! I received lots of compliments when I wore it, and I absolutely love it!

For the second look, I picked out the bright pink peplum skirt first and decided work with that. I didn't want to color block, so I went with a white tank top and white blazer to tone down the look a little. I kinda liked that the blazer was not tailored so it gave the look a bit more of a casual feel.

The day I wore this next look, it was pouring rain! I wasn't even sure if I'd be able to take the pictures, because there was no place undercover I could think of... but I managed to find a spot right at the entrance of my building. My brother was such a good sport and captured a some good shots, which I'm so grateful to him for! So being that it was raining, the weather was quite gloomy, so black and white it was gonna be. I decided on one of my favourite coats, (which makes an appearance every winter), and my polka dot chiffon shirt. I decided to pass on the accessories this time and instead wore my favourite studded heels, which I think really complimented the polka dots.

Okay, so in this next look, it was all about the faux leather skirt! Can you believe I bagged this bargain for only 12 bucks! Yes! 12! And it has pockets! #getouttahere
When I saw this skirt on the missguided website, I could not pass it up! I thought, if I get it and it doesn't fit #thickgirlproblems its no major loss. Luckily I went up size and got it in the size 14, and it fit perfectly! I paired it up with one of my custom made ankara peplum tops, and I love how the print on the top complimented the lime green color of the skirt. Went for some bold, gold statement pieces with my cuff bangle, choker and belt.

With the last look, I knew I wanted to wear this full midi scuba skirt, which recently arrived in the mail from ASOS! I've been eyeing this skirt for a while and finally decided to buy it! And I must say I'm so glad I did! The skirt is amazing quality and is certainly worth the price. The fabric has a nice weight to it and my obesession for skirts with pockets was once again met :-) This skirt can be paired up with so many things, but I decided to style it with this simple black and white panelled blouse. I added a simple silver choker, a red lip, switched up my hair and... VOILA! I think this was my favourite look of the month!
